Phyllis J. Gorsuch was called home to be with the LORD on October 6, 2016 at 80 years of age. Phyllis lived a long and productive life who honored GOD in every action. She was a quiet, humble, and always positive soul that spent much of her life caring for others as a nurse in the Methodist Hospital System for more than 30 years.

She spent her time going to church, volunteering, working on crafts, sewing, reading every mystery novel she could find, and spending time with her family for every holiday, birthday, and barbecue. She especially enjoyed spending time with her sister and brothers whom she was very close to and seeing her nieces and nephews growing up.

She is preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth N. Gorsuch, father James Arthur Gorsuch, Sr. and brother James Arthur Gorsuch, Jr. whom she is excited to see again in the home of the LORD.

She is survived by her sister Myrna G. Luna, her brother Edwin "Ed" Gorsuch, 3 nephews: Douglas Gorsuch, Matthew Gorsuch and Victor Zuniga, 4 nieces: Elizabeth Luna Dawson, Stephanie Luna, Michelle Soultaire and Cheri Becker, 15 great nieces and nephews, and other extended family members who love her and will miss her very much.
