Mabel Pearl Garberick (Harper) born October 24, 1928 was called to be home with the Lord on May 9, 2017 at the age of 88 in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her first husband Harvey Harper, sons, Scott Adrian Harper, Harvey (Skip) Harper and her late husband William E. Garberick. Mabel loved fishing at the coast, bowling, oil painting and flower arranging. She mostly loved spending time with her children and their activities watching Holly and Stacey show their horses and Skip play football at Churchill. She loved all sports and...

Mabel Pearl Garberick (Harper) born October 24, 1928 was called to be home with the Lord on May 9, 2017 at the age of 88 in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her first husband Harvey Harper, sons, Scott Adrian Harper, Harvey (Skip) Harper and her late husband William E. Garberick. Mabel loved fishing at the coast, bowling, oil painting and flower arranging. She mostly loved spending time with her children and their activities watching Holly and Stacey show their horses and Skip play football at Churchill. She loved all sports and was a big fan of Aggie football and her beloved Dallas Cowboys and always loved watching the Spurs and rooting them on. She is survived by her loving daughters Holly Goodman (Jerry), Stacey Fenton (Mark), her beloved grandchildren Halston Connella, Ashley Harper, Chase Fenton and her beloved cat "Teacup", numerous other relatives and friends. The family also wishes to thank Encompass Hospice and Kincare staff for their loving care and support. Special thanks to caregiver Paulette Burns. Their compassion and loving guidance will forever be appreciated. A visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday May 22, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy., San Antonio, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. the same evening. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Animal Defense League or any organization of their choice as a memorial to Mabel's memory.
