John Erwin Gaubatz, age 87, entered peacefully into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father at the home of his daughter Debby and son-in-law Clay on January 5, 2018. He held the title of Vice President at Alamo Iron Works and retired after more than 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Carol, parents George and Linda, son David, daughter Sheree Hornot, grandson Christian Spraberry and his brother George and sister-in-law Freddie. He is survived by his daughter Lynann Reynolds, daughter Debby Dugger (Clay), grandson Johnny Spraberry...

John Erwin Gaubatz, age 87, entered peacefully into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father at the home of his daughter Debby and son-in-law Clay on January 5, 2018. He held the title of Vice President at Alamo Iron Works and retired after more than 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Carol, parents George and Linda, son David, daughter Sheree Hornot, grandson Christian Spraberry and his brother George and sister-in-law Freddie. He is survived by his daughter Lynann Reynolds, daughter Debby Dugger (Clay), grandson Johnny Spraberry (Heather) Brent Swanson (Holly), granddaughter Amber Slaten (James), son-in-law Gene Hornot, sister-in-law Patrice Ward (Steve Odom), dear friend Bob Swanson, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his little bud Toofie. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 3 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
