Evelyn Mae Lessing Hunt was born April 17, 1912 to Agnes Vance Lessing and Joseph Robert Lessing Sr. in San Antonio, Texas and died peacefully at home on March 24, 2015. She graduated from Incarnate Word High School, attended St. Mary's University and worked at Kelly Air Force Base for 35 years. After retiring, she owned and operated "The House of Yesteryear" antique shop in Cuero, Texas for a number of years. Evelyn Mae Lessing Hunt was born April 17, 1912 to Agnes Vance Lessing and Joseph Robert Lessing Sr. in San Antonio, Texas and died peacefully at home on March 24, 2015. She graduated from Incarnate Word High School, attended St. Mary's University and worked at Kelly Air Force Base for 35 years. After retiring, she owned and operated "The House of Yesteryear" antique shop in Cuero, Texas for a number of years. When she returned home to San Antonio, she was an active member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters' Society, for which she and her sisters founded and ran the church thrift shop.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Martha Hunt Carter, John Hale Hunt and wife, Leslie, Glenn William Hunt, Jr. and wife Joyce, David Eugene Hunt and wife Loretta, and Michael Stephen Hunt, Sr., as well as her sisters Alice Lessing James and Mary Lessing Carson. "Evie" is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Saturday, March 28th at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Church. Father Eddy Morales will perform the Mass at 10 am, and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Evelyn's honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
